Assist in the load-in, hang, focus, and tech/programming of all Syracuse Stage and Syracuse University Drama Department productions. Serve on the electrics run crew for Syracuse Stage productions. Assist in the maintenance of all electrical stage equipment and in the supervision of student crews. Participate in the strike of all productions. Assist with other related duties as assigned by the Lighting Supervisor.

Syracuse Stage does not accept or review unsolicited scripts. Agents and theater professionals may submit new and previously produced scripts by invitation only. Projects come to our attention through a national process, including a pipeline of new work through our commissioning and development initiatives. Thank You.

2024/2025 Season Volunteer Ushers
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Syracuse Stage! We are very excited to get started!
Please complete the following training to be eligible to volunteer:

• Part one is Syracuse Stage shows and volunteering specific. If you click on “Slideshow” at the top right of the screen, you will see the slides larger.
• Part two, after you complete the orientation quiz, we will ask you to read a presentation and watch a short online video to satisfy your sexual harassment prevention training for the season. The link for this part is in the training slideshow.

2. Sexual harassment prevention*If you have taken a sexual harassment prevention training somewhere else on or after July 1, 2024, you may send your certification certificate or proof of training to Meg at mrdillon@syr.edu
You must complete and pass both training quizzes in order to have access to the volunteer sign up link.

Syracuse Stage’s 25/26 Season Equity Principal Auditions dates have been scheduled! EPAs are an opportunity for Syracuse Stage to meet a wide range of the theatre community. We encourage all members of Actors Equity Association to schedule an appointment.
SEASONAL Equity Principal Auditions in New York City
Tuesday April 29 (plays) and Monday May 12 (musicals), 9:30am to 5:30pm
New York City auditions will be held on Tuesday April 29 (plays) & May 12 (Musicals), at the Actors Equity Building. AEA Members may audition for the LORT Season, for the U/RTA show, or for both.

FOR AN APPOINTMENT:
All appointments will be managed through Actors Equity Association’s member portal.
Play auditions will be held on Tuesday April 29 (no accompanist present) and Musical auditions will be held on Monday May 12 (with accompanist).
If you are unable to attend in person, you may submit a video submission for THE HELLO GIRLS and/or DISNEY’S FROZEN to auditions@syracusestage.org.
Video submissions for these musicals should be UNLISTED (not private) YouTube links. Deadline for submissions is MAY 16, 2025.

An opportunity for local and area AEA actors to audition for our upcoming 2025-2026 Season.
Accompianist will be present.
AEA Members may audition for the LORT Season, for the U/RTA show, or for both.

What Should I prepare?
Please prepare one 1-to-2 minute contemporary monologue OR if singing, one 1 minute contemporary monologue and a maximum 32-bars of a song (bring sheet music). Please bring a headshot with resume attached by staples. Please prepare no more than two minutes of content of your choosing. A preference would be for the spoken word: a monologue, scene or poetry.
